Founded in 1957 by Chaim Schreiber, Schreiber furniture is an interesting British success story. 

 The Company was one of the biggest names in furniture in the 70s, rivalling G Plan and other well known manufacturers.

 In 1973 they added fitted kitchen to their range, and created 280 Schreiber Furniture Centre shops throughout UK.

This is a Schrieber extending dining table, rectangular in shape with broad rounded corners The table top is Schrieber’s trade mark Formica wood grain laminate. Of particular note is the design detail of a rounded leg top where it meets the under rim of the table.
