A vintage mid-century Ercol Model 994 “Golden Dawn” Windsor armchair, designed by Lucian Ercolani, Ercol’s founder. It features the classic spindle back and carved wheel splat that Ercol is renowned for. The armchair has been newly reupholstered in white bouclé.
The solid elm and beech frame has the distinctive dark “Golden Dawn” finish, showcasing traditional joinery including hand-turned legs, curved scroll arms, and stretcher bar supports.
The frame carries the authentic Ercol maker’s mark, confirming provenance. The original seat webbing remains intact beneath the new upholstery, and the chair is structurally sound and ready for immediate use.
