Founded by Gideon Schreiber, Schreiber Furniture became one of Britain’s most recognisable post-war furniture brands, with their clean-lined, Scandinavian-influenced designs found in homes across the country throughout the 1960s and 70s.
This set of four dining chairs represents perhaps the most adventurous design in the Schreiber range — the defining feature being the distinctive floating curved backrest, a sculptural pad suspended between the two back uprights.
Slender tapered legs, generously proportioned and well padded seats and black leatherette upholstery throughout. Circa 1960s–70s.
