The Holga camera was an all-plastic medium-format film camera made in China in the 1980s as a cheap mass-market camera. With almost no settings and a fixed plastic lens, it makes no attempt at optical precision and is prone to light leaks.
The results include vignetting, soft focus, distortion, grain and unpredictable colour — flaws that affect the image in an attractive way.
These photographs are uniquely the result of the Holga camera. They are fine-art inkjet prints on highly textured Hahnemühle 180gsm art paper.
