A superb late 18th century Georgian chest of drawers in solid oak, rich with the a deep patina
gained by centuries of age and use. Two short drawers over three long drawers sitting on characteristic bun feet with elegant swan-neck bail handles and escutcheon keyhole plates throughout. A fine, honest piece that has survived in daily use for over 200 years — highly collectable and increasingly hard to find in this condition. Circa 1760–1800.
Width 110cm x depth 50cm x height 99cm
Very good antique condition and structurally sound. All drawers run smoothly.
Note: There are areas of age-related wear where edges and mouldings have chipped away over time, carefully repaired in several places with new oak. Visible only on close inspection, they are easily lost within the rich patina and character of the aged oak. Additional photos or a video are available on request.
